The Tenant File has been a leader in providing software for property managers for over 20 years. As new technologies have emerged, we have kept up with the latest innovations. Our philosophy has been to provide the best tools for the Owner or Manager of rental property while keeping everything simple so that extensive training is never required. However, we know that any software can be daunting at first, so we have provided industry leading support to help new users get started and comfortable with the program. Today, I realize there are a lot of software programs for property managers to choose from today. I did a ton of research on the competition before deciding on purchasing the affordably priced Tenant File program, and am very satisfied with my choice.

A MESSAGE FROM THE OWNER:
I know that searching for a suitable rental management program can be a difficult task. There are a lot of options available, and you want to be sure that you are getting something that will serve your business for a long time to come. When we started the Tenant File, it was because our business was in the same position. The realtor I consulted for owned over 200 homes personally, and managed another 300 single family homes. Plus, there was a homeowners association and a few small apartment buildings. There was nothing at the time that did a good job of managing a broad range of rental property. The Tenant File was created and perfected 'in house' and was only released to the public in 1994, six years after the start of development.
Starting off as shareware, the Tenant File quickly got a buzz and later got a rave review in the PC Computing magazine. Our DOS version was a big hit because it was so easy to use, and it soon became a full time business for me. With the year 2000 approaching and Windows coming out, there were certainly obstacles to overcome, but with late nights and additional programming talent, we released a Windows version in 1998. I met a lot of customers (still using the Tenant File) at Realtor conventions around the USA. We have always valued our customers and solicited their opinions and suggestions to improve the Tenant File.
Now, after many Windows updates and new releases, the current Tenant File is still simple but uses the latest technology available. It is now hosted on a Virtual Server, allow you to access the program from any desktop or laptop computer in any location with an Internet connection. We hope to have you as a valued customer!
