Database Inspection and Repair
The Tenant File uses a Microsoft Access database to store your data. However, database can become corrupted because of various factors, such as power surges, network collisions, loss of power, computer defects, and more. If your database gets corrupted, we can repair it in most cases. (Typically, a Microsoft database error is in the '3000' number range).
Generally, we can fix a database and return it within 24-48 hours. (excluding weekends and holidays). Just order the repair here, then send us your database file as an attachment to an email.
Here are the steps:
1. Order and pay for the repair.
2. Create an email to: [email protected]
3. Attach the database file (ie. TFDATAFL.MDB) to the email.
4. Be sure to include detailed information about the error message in the email, along with your complete company information and contact.
Note: The file TFDATAFL.MDB is your MAIN database and typically the one to send. Your INACTIVE database is 'TFDATAOF.MDB', your Features database is 'FEATURES.MDB', and your Work Order Database is 'WORKORDR.MDB' (MDB stands for 'Microsoft Database' and may not always to shown as part of the file name in your directory. Make sure the 'file type' is MDB or Microsoft Database)
To find where your Tenant File database is located, you can go to your Tenant File shortcut (icon) and right-click. Choose 'Properties'. Look at the 'Start In' path. That will show you where to browse to when attaching the database. If your database is over 5 MB, you will need to 'zip' (compress) it before sending.
