Installing the Tenant File from the Download
NOTE: If you already have an earlier version of the Tenant File, BE SURE to make a BACKUP of the entire folder, before installing anything.
First, click on the link to go to the installation page. It will look something like this:
Enter the first Username and Password from the email.
Click 'Save File'
Some computers are different, but typically, the file will go into your 'download' folder. To start the installation, double-click on the TF9-Full.exe file for the FULL installation or TF9-Update.exe for the UPDATE ONLY installation. (Also, you should save the file for future installations, there will be a charge for a replacement file.)

You may see the above message or a similar message. Just click 'Run' to begin the installation.
You should let the Tenant File install into the default folder shown. This should be the main computer in your office if you are going to use the Tenant File on a network.
If you are installing a Tenant File UPDATE, you will should see the message below. Updates need to be installed in the original folder. Never install a FULL version in the same folder as an existing version, or it will overwrite your data!
Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
Now, you'll have a Tenant File icon on your desktop. Double-click the icon to start the program.
If you entered the correct password, you'll see this screen (with a different date). You will need to obtain your final authorization within 30 days in order to continue using the program. The final authorization screen is shown below:
The instructions for getting the final authorization are shown. You can get them at any time within 30 days, but we suggest that you do this right away. Also, if you need to call for support, your Customer ID is shown on this screen, along with the version number of the Tenant File. To get to this screen at any time, just go to Settings > Authorization (or 'Preferences > Authorization' at the top) in the Tenant File program.
